Bayo Alaba, former Parachute Regiment soldier, school governor, youth mentor and charity trustee is hoping to become Labour’s first Southend East & Rochford MP.

Bayo has run his own business for 22 years in East London within the creative and night-time economy. He has employed hundreds of people and understands the importance of local business. Therefore, Bayo is supporting local businesses and looking to create jobs for young people.

As well, Bayo is a Military Veteran. He served his country but now wants to serve you. He spent 11 years with the Parachute Regiment reserves and travelled the world. He trained and prepared soldiers for active service.

Bayo has set a few goals for his campaign:

• Serve with integrity and respect
• Reduce bills with a British owned clean energy company
• Work with local business, create jobs for young people
• Celebrate our local culture and support the tourist industry
• Work with Labour to get the NHS back on its feet
