Havens Hospices have asked us and other local organisations to publicise their bereavement telephone helpline, which is open to all residents in south east Essex and is able to support bereaved adults and children from across Essex whose loved one has died directly or indirectly as a result of Coronavirus.

Trained counsellors, social workers and family support workers are available to answer calls seven days a week, 9am-6pm to listen, advise and signpost people who are experiencing grief during lockdown. The number is 01702 220 321 and more information is available on the Havens Hospices website at www.havenshospices.org.uk/crisisline or by emailing wellbeing@havenshospices.org.uk.

Southend Labour thanks Havens Hospices for all their work and is grateful to them for providing this additional support for residents during this difficult time.
