The Labour councillors representing Westborough ward have continued their annual tradition of donating a Christmas tree to the local community.

The tree was erected and decorated by Cllrs Kevin Robinson, Anne Jones and Charles Willis outside Westcliff Library on the morning of Sunday 16 December.

Cllr Robinson said, “It’s a simple gesture to the people we represent, which we have done in previous years, and are delighted to repeat. As a hub of the community, Westcliff Library is the perfect place to show a little bit of festive cheer, to brighten everybody’s day.

Cllr Willis added, “Westborough is a ward with a lot of pride, and a lot to be proud of. Kevin, Anne and myself wish all of the residents a merry Christmas, and a happy 2019.”
