Mandy O’Connor – Labour’s Candidate for Victoria Ward
Mandy O’Connor has lived in Southend-on-Sea for over twenty-five years and is proudly now the Labour Party’s candidate for Victoria Ward in the upcoming by-election.
Mandy works for two independent Southend charities, one of which is based in Victoria Ward. In her charity work, Mandy is already dedicated to serving the most vulnerable people in our community. With the spiralling cost of living crisis, it is important that we elect representatives who are compassionate to those in need and are not afraid to call out injustice where it exists.
As a mother to two grown-up sons, Mandy understands the difficulties faced by young people in our city. Genuinely affordable housing and youth services are real priorities for Mandy.
Mandy passionate about accountability, and she pledges that if elected, she will be an accessible Councillor, by hosting regular face-to-face surgeries for residents within the Ward.
