Tricia Cowdrey – Labour & Co-Operative Candidate for Kursaal
Living in and raising her family in Southend over the past 35 years, as well as practicing as a social worker and youth worker here, Tricia believes she can understand the many issues residents face. She feels it is important to have a local representative who understands these issues, and is able to listen and respond appropriately.
Tricia’s experience in social care and youth work as well her extensive involvement with the voluntary sector, and within commissioning, will enable her to hit the ground running within the council. She brings her experience as a senior manager and former CEO of a children’s charity and hopes to be able to utilise these skills and experiences to further the current progress of the Labour-led administration.
Tricia is a keen activist, being Co-Chair of the Fossett’s for the People social housing campaign as well as starting up a campaign to keep the Shoeburyness Ambulance station fully operational. She has a long history of working in Kursaal ward, whether in the homelessness sector or with the children’s centre at Centre Place. Tricia says, ” I know the deep problems that this ward faces, but also the many opportunities it offers. I want to see those opportunities available to all, and a community which values and encourages everyone”.
A vote for Tricia Cowdrey would gain you another local Labour councillor who is hard working and passionate about the area and its people.
