Councillors call for West Road crossing

 

west road crossing Victoria Ward Councillor Margaret Borton, backed by Councillor Ian Gilbert, is launching a petition calling for a pedestrian crossing on West Road, Westcliff.

 

Margaret said, “The stretch of road between the Plough and the BP petrol station is particularly busy at peak times and is a very long way without a proper pedestrian crossing.

 

With a busy school and shops in the area, a crossing near the junction with Hamlet Court Road would surely be a good idea.”
