Virus restrictions mean that we’ve been unable to deliver the latest edition of our residents’ newsletter right across the borough, so we’ve made a copy available to download or read on screen by clicking here. Among the issues it covers are our Labour-led Council’s plans to help the town’s recover post-covid; housing the homeless; support for schools; community safety and a big thank you to all of the key workers and volunteers for all their hard work this year. There’s also a section for you to tell us the main thing the council could do that would improve life for you and your family – to save you printing and posting that reply slip from the leaflet, you can fill in the online version of it below. We will read them all and respond if requested.

Even though our usual year-round door-to-door calls and street surgeries aren’t possible at present, your Southend Labour councillors and candidates are keeping in touch with residents by social media and in all the other ways that they can and are always available to discuss specific issues. To get in touch please use the details on the ‘Our Councillors’ page, or fill in the ‘Contact us’ form or leave a message including your name, address and phone number on 01702 619868.

We intend to resume regular door-to-door newsletter deliveries and street surgeries when the lockdown restrictions are eased in early December, assuming such activity is permitted.
