The local authority providing services including education, highways, housing, social services and waste disposal for our area is Southend Borough Council

Part of Leigh on Sea is also covered by the Leigh Town Council

Neighbourhood Police Teams

One of Labour's most effective policies was to ensure that local communities have their own team of police officers who are responsible for covering the streets in their neighbourhoods. The aim is that residents get to know their local police officers, who in turn get to develop a good knowledge of the issues that affect the area.
