Taylor Barrall is Labour's very enthusiastic candidate for Chalkwell Ward in these local elections. He is younger than many opposition but has the youth and enthusiasm to know why some of the opposition candidates have had their time.
Taylor says, "I have lived in Southend-on-Sea all my life and I currently live in Chalkwell. I have campaigned on behalf of the Labour Party for several years, and I was also selected to stand in Chalkwell Ward for 2016. Outside of politics, I am keen charitable fundraiser, having led an effort to raise £20,000 for MacMillan Cancer Support and another local charity.
I am currently reading politics at university and I hope that my campaign will bring attention to the importance of young people in both local and national politics.
For Belfairs, I want access to first-rate local services, which I believe only the Labour Party will protect. If elected, I will work hard to represent and protect the interests of Belfairs residents. It seems from speaking to people on the doorstep and elsewhere that many residents of Belfairs ward want a change and think that they need to be properly represented by a local councillor who actually cares about local services.
