I have been a local resident for many years. My career has involved numerous public sector roles, including housing and domestic abuse.
A passionate Labour voter throughout my life, I was inspired to join the party in 2015 and became active during the snap election. I also support Save Southend NHS, the campaign to protect local NHS services. I have taken a proactive role in local Labour events, and made the decision to stand as a councillor with support and backing from local members.
I’m standing in this election so that I can have an impact locally, as well as demonstrate what Labour believes and offers to the country as a whole. As a working parent of two, I believe that a Labour-run council will bring many benefits to all of us.
