Matt Dent is the Labour Party's candidate for Blenheim Park in the 2016 Southend Borough Council Elections.
I am standing as the Labour candidate for Blenheim Park because I believe that residents deserve a strong and clear voice to stand up for them on Southend Council. Over the last year I have been working hard to further residents’ interests, and if elected on 5th May I will be working even harder to make Blenheim Park a better place to live and work.
I work as a transcriber, working largely from home, and have been campaigning with the local Labour Party since I moved to Southend. I am enormously proud of everything that Labour councillors have achieved as part of the Joint Administration, protecting such services as children’s centres, libraries, care homes and even street-lights, and I hope to be joining them after May.
