Donna Richardson is the Labour Party's candidate for St. Lukes in the 2016 Southend Borough Council Elections.
My name is Donna Richardson, I am 43 years old, I am married with two grown up daughters and one gorgeous grandson. I am a Qualified Counsellor/Therapist, but not currently practising, as I care for my husband who is disabled. I am extremely passionate about St Lukes Ward and its residents, I feel that to represent St Lukes Ward, you need to know, understand ...and love where you live, which I do.
I am here for the residents of St Lukes Ward and the town, to be their voice and to move the Labour party forward, I feel appalled and angry at this governments welfare reforms and with the glib statements Minsters make when speaking about poverty & deprivation; which is why I wanted to stand as candidate.
My main concerns are dog fouling, fly tipping, anti-social behaviour, helping the vulnerable, mental health, keeping residents Safe by initiating Neighbourhood Watch in the ward and making sure that the young have a safe place to live and play.
I have already be pro-active in the ward, helping residents with their concerns and these have been dealt with straight away, with positive outcomes. I hope that St Lukes residents have the confidence in me to become Councillor in the May elections and represent them.
